Peer Review Process

Responsible Parties

The Program Committee receives and conducts a peer review of all submitted proposals. For 2023, the Co-Chairs are:

Full Panel Review

  1. The Committee reviews all proposals for full panels to ensure relevance to WAAC.
  2. Remaining proposals are scored independently by each member (scale of 1 to 10) based on merit, impact, and quality.
  3. Co-Chairs aggregate the findings and finalize the list of accepted panels.

Individual Papers

  1. Initial review of proposals for WAAC relevance.
  2. Committee forms new panels using the remaining submissions.
  3. Each panel is scored independently by committee members.
  4. Findings are aggregated, and selections are made by the Co-Chairs.
  5. Some participants may be invited to present posters or Rapid-Fire Talks.

Posters and Lightning Talks

  1. Committee reviews all proposals for relevance to WAAC.
  2. Remaining proposals are ranked by each member (1–10) based on merit and impact.
  3. Co-Chairs finalize which proposals to accept for poster or talk presentations.
